A holistic approach to getting Healthier Skin

September 26, 2020

The focus on clearer and healthier skin has become a trendy topic during lockdown. People have been seen to be spending more time on their skincare and skin regimes. For me, however, I have always had to pay special attention to my skin, as it's always been quite problematic. Earlier this week I was invited to join a webinar with Cetaphil where the skincare brand launched their new Healthier Skin Revival: Cleanse, Moisturise and Protect range.

REVIEW: Sorbet Hyrdo Skin Cleanser

May 17, 2020

As we entered Winter in South Africa, my skin took a turn for the worse. As I have combination / sensitive skin, I have to (1) Change up my skin routine to suit the season and (2) Be careful of the products I use on my skin because I breakout quite easily.

REVIEW: The Body Shop's Camomile Cleansing Butter

March 15, 2020

The Body Shop founded in 1979 by Dame Anita Roddick has always been a beauty store I keep going back to. Their ethically-sourced ingredients and ability to create some of the best naturally-inspired beauty products helps them stand out from the rest. Forty-one years later they are still relevant and still producing quality products. What attracts me the most to the brand is that they are cruelty free, and concerned with the environment and sustainability, brands who don't incorporate saving practices into their business in this day and age are simply careless.

REVIEW: Have you heard of Afri-Berry?

August 06, 2019

Since I could remember, I have suffered with dark marks. This mainly started when I was a teenager and had a bit of acne, which over time left me with dark spots where the pimples used to be. These marks eventually lighten and fade out if I religiously use products to treat this. As a result, I am always on the hunt to try serums and ointments that help reduce the damage caused by acne, or occasional pimples. I have tried acne remedy products from Dermalogica, Clear Skin, Filogra and Eucerin in the past. While these products reduced the appearance of dark marks, after using them for a long time it seemed to almost reach a threshold with my skin and no longer worked past that point.
